V9261F Breakout

What is it?

A breadboard compliant breakout built around the Vangotech V9261F Single-Phase Energy Monitor ASIC to measure 1-phase voltage, current and power for extra low voltage (9-12V AC) and current clamps.

Why did you make it?

While performing teardowns of Eastron Energy Monitors from Aliexpress I came across ASIC's from Vangotech. I wanted to try out their 1-phase offerings and sourced some sample ASIC's and this dev board was born. The ASIC's are hard to get from standard part sources and this dev board makes the evaluation easy.

What makes it special?

This Energy monitor can perform 1-phase measurements from 12V AC transformers and uses a very accurate V9261F ASIC. This ASIC is hard to get outside of China, Elecrow has sourced this from the manufacturer directly. The dev board is suitable for use on a breadboard with voltage divider ladder and current clamps with current output, the multiplier resistors and RC filter is built directly into the board.
