Story

This is a modular lighting rig based around the Arduino nano, as there was no others available at the time for me to use in my live shows.

I was able to successfully make this on a proto-board, however, the PCB should work too.

This allows for 8 lighting outputs, take a look at the endpoints I have made available too.

The RJ45 pinout is as follows.

1 - 5V

2 - 5V

3 - Blank

4 - Data

5 - Data

6 - Blank

7 - GND

8 - GND

Please note that this is still a work-in-progress, and I haven't made a consumer ready software for this. I'd love to see what sort of softwares you can make! If you don't have programming knowledge, ChatGPT can help write the code.

I have included the schematic in the links below.

  • I made a basic Arduino sketch to do a colour cycle across all of the different connected devices, here is a link to the code: https://pastebin.com/raw/hw6pMNZP, change the variable at the top which states how many lights are in your strip, make sure to have a sufficient power supply for the LEDs. :)
