Sense & Drive Hardware Cartridge

The Edgeberry Sense'n'Drive Hardware Cartridge is a practical way to equip your Edgeberry for interaction with sensors and actuators. It provides 6 sourcing MOSFET digital output channels designed for controlling relays, valves, motors, ... and a 5V I2C bus for connecting sensors or other peripherals. If your project involves automation, monitoring or managing physical systems, this Hardware Cartridge gives you the reliability and flexibility to get the job done.

Features:

• 6 Sourcing MOSFET outputs with load protection: These outputs are designed for driving relays, solenoid valves or similar devices. Digital output 6 also supports PWM, enabling it to be used for motor speed control or dimming LED strips. You can use an external power supply to drive the digital outputs, or connect it internally to Edgeberry's 12-24V power source. The load protection ensures safe operation with inductive loads, making these outputs reliable for industry-grade applications.
• 5V I2C port with reliable connector: The I2C port is level-shifted to 5V, which gives you compatibility with a wide range of peripherals, and enhances signal integrity. The connector keeps the cable securely in place, so you don't have to worry about loose connections, even in environments with vibrations or motion.
