Multi-Step Process Control in Action

The demo uses temperature and humidity control as an example of a programmable process. Users can create multi-step profiles, configure process settings, run them, monitor live values and trends, and see how alarms affect execution.

The same profile-based approach can be used wherever equipment needs to change process parameters over time.

All process data is generated by the built-in simulator. No PLC, sensors, server, network connection, or external equipment is required to run the demo.

The user can:
  • Browse and edit saved process profiles
  • Create Ramp and Hold process steps
  • Set temperature, humidity, fan, and step duration
  • Add repeated steps for cyclic processes
  • Run a profile and monitor actual values against setpoints
  • View and acknowledge simulated process alarms
  • Review history, trends, and device status

Run the Demo on CrowPanel ESP32-P4 v1.2

Download the demo package, connect your CrowPanel to a PC via the UART0 USB-C port, and use the included one-click flashing tool to install the application.

After startup, the panel opens an interactive introduction with access to a guided tour or the complete HMI. You can explore preloaded profiles, create your own programs, run accelerated process simulations, see predefined fault scenarios, view alarms, and inspect historical process data.

From Demo to Your Process HMI

The current application demonstrates a complete programmable process HMI: profile creation, execution, visualization, alarms, historical data, user access, and device configuration. The process itself is simulated directly on the CrowPanel.

For a real product, the simulator can be replaced with data and controls from your equipment or process controller while keeping the same application architecture and adapting the HMI to your operating workflow.

Customization can include:
