CAN Bus is a widely-used protocol in the industry because of its long communication distance, medium communication speed, and high reliability. With our tiny development board, you can easily create a CAN-BUS project. Unlike our previously released CAN-BUS shield series, the CANBed - Arduino-compatible CAN Bus Development Kit has an Atmega32U4 chip built-in, eliminating the need for additional jump wires to another Arduino board - it is an Arduino board itself!
The Atmega32U4 chip on this board provides a wealth of pin resources. There are 18 pins based on the core chipset on the board, including digital pins, analog pins, UART, and I2C interface. Additionally, this CANBed uses the MCP2515 CAN Bus controller with SPI interface and MCP2551 to achieve CAN-Bus capability. There are also two types of CAN Bus interfaces available to meet various needs, a sub-D9 connector and a terminal block interface. These will accommodate all your connection requirements.
This CAN-Bus development board is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE. The Arduino CAN-Bus library helps to save time on your CAN project.
