As a DIY electronics maker, having a portable HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screen in your hands is so necessary that it can help you build so many creative electronics and IoT projects with interactive intelligent commands.
To give you the best price with the maximized functions of ESP32 portable HMI screens, Elecrow has launched the 2 pioneering ESP Terminal HMI screens which come in 2 versions: one is ESP32 3.5" HMI RGB display, the other is ESP32 3.5" HMI SPI display.
They are both microcontrollers based on ESP32 master. It adopts an Xtensa 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor with a main frequency of up to 240Mhz, supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 (LE), and can easily handle common edge terminal application scenarios, such as industrial control, agricultural production environment detection, and processing, intelligent logistics monitoring, smart home scenarios and more.
The two types of HMI screens both have a 3.5-inch HMI screen with 320*480 resolution to ensure perfect image output, although their frame rate (FPS) may be slightly different.
Supporting 4 Crowtail interfaces, the ESP32 screen is fully compatible with over 100+ Crowtail modules that Elecrow has developed to meet the different needs of makers, which means you can customize and creatively design your DIY electronics projects with modules and sensors you like. The 4 Crowtail interfaces can be used with our Crowtail series sensors, plug and play, to create more interesting projects quickly and conveniently.
They are also equipped with an SD card slot for extended storage (SPI lines) and a buzzer function. Moreover, equipped with analog, digital, UART, IIC ports, the screen can be applied in so many electronic scenarios such as IoT programs, smart home projects, etc.
Both ESP32 HMI displays support VSCODE(esp-idf) and Arduino IDE development and are compatible with Python/Micropython/Arduino.
It's not surprising that the HMI screens can support LVGL, which is the most popular free and open-source embedded graphics library to create beautiful user interfaces for any MCU, MPU, and display type. Not only that, but they also support SquareLine Studio UI design tools, making it so convenient for makers, designers, and programmers to develop great projects for better user interface and human-machine interactive experience.
For some makers, it's not convenient to always charge electronic components with a fixed power supply; DIY electronic projects require much more flexibility and an available power supply anytime, anywhere. The ESP 3.5" HMI displays solve these problems perfectly. Their onboard charging circuits and lithium battery interfaces can use the type-C power supply interface to supply power and charge the battery at the same time, providing more options for outdoor scene expansion.
The ESP 32 terminals use an acrylic shell, which can not only protect the screen but also make it more beautiful. The size is only pocket size, small and portable; two M3 fixing holes are easy to fix, making it easier for you to set up your project.
There are several differences and sharing features between the ESP32 3.5" HMI RGB Display and the ESP32 3.5" HMI SPI Display, as shown in the table below.
