With an array of electronic products and manufacturing services, Elecrow now has over 40,000 registered members, collaborates with more than 200 distributors, and distributes products in over 150 countries and regions globally.
In March 2023, Elecrow introduced the Partner Seller Program, designed to empower individuals and startups to bring their creations to the world through Elecrow's platform. Whether you are a college student, individual electronics maker, DIY electronics hobbyist, hacker, tech enthusiast, business group, startup, or even a tech novice, you can join Elecrow as a partner seller as long as you have the enthusiasm to create innovative tech projects.
Elecrow's path to growth unfolds across three phases. From 2014 to 2018, Elecrow was dedicated to Open-Source Hardware products; the years between 2018 and 2021 saw a heightened emphasis on STEM educational kits while starting in 2022, Elecrow broadened its horizons by venturing into displays, LoRa products, and continuous innovation.
The foundational phase for Elecrow set the tone for its commitment to simplifying the making process. Centered on the philosophy of "Make Your Making Easier," Elecrow introduced three major series: Crowduino, Crowtail, and Open-Source Screens. Crowduino, the Arduino-compatible development boards, showcased enhanced functionality and competitive pricing. The Crowtail series offered modular electronic building blocks, streamlining the creation of electronic projects with a plug-and-play experience. Furthermore, Elecrow contributed to the open-source community with touch screens compatible with Raspberry Pi.
In a strategic move towards educational kits, Elecrow significantly invested in STEM educational kits, aiming to arouse children's interests in coding and programming, providing an accessible way for children to grasp essential programming skills. The Crowpi series, Crowbits series, and Crowbot emerged as highlights during this phase. The Crowpi series, including Crowpi, Crowpi 2, and Crowpi L, became best-sellers as all-in-one Raspberry Pi computers designed for coding and programming. The Crowbits series featured magnetic, programmable electronic blocks to assist children in acquiring coding and electronics skills. Noteworthy for compatibility with LEGO, five different kits were tailored for children at various skill levels. Additionally, the CrowBot BOLT, an open-source smart programming car powered by an ESP32 chip, showcased Elecrow's commitment to educational innovation.
Since 2022, Elecrow has expanded its product range, introducing a diverse series of screens ranging from 2.4 inches to 15.6 inches. There are various sizes of ESP32 displays for IoT projects, and the ultra-thin CrowVi, with a thickness of 4mm, offers customers an unparalleled portable experience, etc.
Looking ahead to 2024, Elecrow's primary focus will be on manufacturing displays and LoRa products, alongside the production of Crowpi3 and other open-source hardware innovations. As Elecrow celebrates its tenth year, the company remains dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and empowering creators globally.
